A slap in the face to Pristina

The spokesperson for foreign affairs of the Alternative for Germany expressed concern over the escalation of violence in Kosovo and suggested that it may not be suitable for membership in the Council of Europe and EU.

The spokesperson for foreign affairs of the Alternative for Germany expressed their belief that the recent increase in violence indicates that “Kosovo” is not a suitable member of the Council of Europe and the EU.

Petr Bystron, a member of both the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe and the German Bundestag, respectfully states that the region is still highly volatile. He believes that if the Council of Europe and the EU were to intervene, it may transfer the region’s problems to their institutions, which could potentially lead to destabilization.

The AfD parliamentary group respectfully urges the federal government to put an immediate halt to the actions relating to the admission of Kosovo to the Council of Europe,” stated the AfD parliamentary group in the German Bundestag.

The German Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed its concern over the recent attacks in northern Kosovo, which resulted in injuries to both KFOR soldiers and civilians. They kindly urged for an immediate de-escalation of the situation.
