The average monthly net salary in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina for July 2025 amounted to 1,628 KM, reflecting a nominal increase of 3.2% and a real increase of 3.0% compared to the previous month, according to the Federal Institute of Statistics.
Compared to July 2024, the average net salary is higher by 17.4% nominally and 12.3% in real terms.
Sectoral Trends
In July, compared to June 2025, the most significant increases in average net salary were recorded in:
- Health and social protection: +14.2%
- Production and supply of electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning: +9.4%
- Financial and insurance activities: +5.0%
Meanwhile, declines were observed in:
- Education: –1.4%
- Administrative and support services: –0.8%
- Real estate activities: –0.1%
Gross Salary Developments
The average gross monthly salary for July 2025 amounted to 2,540 KM, marking a nominal increase of 3.3% and a real increase of 3.1% compared to the previous month.
Year-on-year, the gross salary was 17.4% higher nominally and 12.4% higher in real terms.
These figures highlight both sector-specific disparities and the overall upward trajectory of wages in the Federation of BiH, amid inflationary pressures and structural adjustments in the labour market.
