According to a report from News.az, the working group dedicated to Azerbaijan-Serbia inter-parliamentary relations from the Milli Majlis has conducted an official visit to Belgrade.
During their visit to Belgrade, members of the Azerbaijan-Serbia inter-parliamentary working group from the Milli Majlis honoured the national leader of the Azerbaijani people, Heydar Aliyev, by laying flowers at his monument.
Additionally, the delegation visited the monument dedicated to the unknown soldier who sacrificed his life for Belgrade’s freedom. The visit also included a significant meeting with Vladimir Orlic, Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia. During this encounter, Speaker Orlic reminisced about his recent trip to Azerbaijan in early October, his meeting with President Ilham Aliyev, and his impressions of the territories in Karabakh that had been recently liberated. He expressed high regard for the strategic partnership and robust cooperation between Serbia and Azerbaijan, specifically praising President Ilham Aliyev’s support during Serbia’s challenging periods.
Further engagements included discussions with the Serbia-Azerbaijan inter-parliamentary friendship group and the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Serbian Parliament. These meetings focused on the bilateral relations between the two nations, with particular emphasis on priority areas and coordinated efforts within international organizations.
