Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic accused the opposition of “politicizing” two recent mass murders in Serbia to attack President Aleksandar Vucic and the government.
Following the announcement by the opposition regarding their plans to hold a protest on Monday in response to the situation in Serbia, she kindly reminded everyone that similar mass murders have taken place in other countries. However, she noted that no one has ever used such incidents for political purposes or as a means to attack the government.
„It’s unimaginable. It is scandalous and humanly incomprehensible that you say that Aleksandar Vucic and the Serbian Progressive Party are to blame for these crimes. Are you insane, how is he responsible? You rushed to politicize the situation and it does not contribute to reducing the polarization in our country,“ Brnabic told Happy TV.
Additionally, she concluded that the tragic events of mass murder at the Belgrade Elementary School “Vladislav Ribnikar” and in Mladenovac and its surrounding areas were a result of the current societal climate.
