The EU special representative for the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue, Miroslav Lajcak, will visit Belgrade and Pristina on September 9, European Commission spokesperson Peter Stano announced on Monday, adding that Lajcak would be accompanied by advisers to French President Emmanuel Macron and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz.

In a statement to Tanjug, Stano said the EU welcomed Macron’s and Scholz’s strong support for the EU-facilitated dialogue towards full normalisation between Belgrade and Pristina, as well as efforts by Lajcak and EU foreign policy and security chief Josep Borrell in that regard.

During the visit, Lajcak and the two advisers are expected to hold separate meetings with Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and the PM of the provisional Pristina institutions, Albin Kurti.
