Hrvoje Snajder has significantly deviated from diplomatic norms and breached the Vienna Convention, according to the Foreign Ministry.
On Monday, Serbia officially designated Hrvoje Snajder, the first secretary at the Embassy of Croatia in Belgrade, as persona non grata, invoking Article 9 of the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations.
The decision was based on Snajder’s significant departure from diplomatic norms and violation of the mentioned convention during his professional tenure in the Republic of Serbia. The ministry issued a diplomatic note to Croatian Ambassador Hidajet Biscevic regarding this matter.
Regretfully, the ministry highlighted that Snajder’s past conduct did not contribute positively to the enhancement of relations between Serbia and Croatia. Despite this, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia expressed the hope for collaborative efforts between the two countries to foster mutual trust and strive towards a shared European future.
