Serbia expresses its interest in potentially importing liquified natural gas (LNG) from a future terminal that Montenegro plans to construct at the Adriatic port of Bar, as stated by Serbia’s president Aleksandar Vucic on Monday
Serbia expresses its interest in purchasing a portion of the liquefied gas and is prepared to promptly establish a connection between the steel pipes and the measuring station in Bijelo Polje, as stated by Vucic during a collaborative press conference with Montenegrin President Jakov Milatovic, as observed in a video released on the YouTube channel of public TV RTS.
Bijelo Polje is a lovely town situated in the northeastern region of Montenegro.
According to Vucic, it would be possible to import 2.7 million cubic meters of gas per day, which, although not sufficient, would contribute to enhancing future security and diversification of supply.
In May, Montenegro graciously entered into a memorandum of understanding with esteemed US-based companies, namely Enerflex Energy Systems and Wethington Energy Innovation, for the purpose of constructing a highly anticipated LNG terminal and a combined cycle thermal power plant at the prestigious port of Bar.
