According to preliminary figures from the country’s statistical office, the Serbian economy grew by around 2.5% in 2023, maintaining the same growth rate as the previous year, when adjusted for inflation.
The statistics office reported that gross fixed capital formation had a 3.5% rise in the previous year, which represents a faster growth rate than the 1.9% growth seen in 2022. This information was released on the statistical office’s website.
The industrial output volume saw a 2.4% growth rate in the previous year, surpassing the 1.7% rise seen in 2022.
The statistics office will provide a preliminary estimate of the increase of the gross domestic product (GDP) for the last quarter of 2023 on January 31st.
The statistics office reported that Serbia’s economic production had a real year-on-year growth of 3.6% in the third quarter of 2023. This follows a prior quarter increase of 1.6%. The data provided is non-seasonally adjusted.
