Ursula von der Leyen, the President of the European Commission, ends her tour of the region with a visit to BiH.
Before BiH, Ursula von der Leyen visited Albania, Serbia, Kosovo and Montenegro, sending a message that she had come to tell the countries of the Western Balkans that they wanted to join the EU.
Earlier, during her address to the European Parliament on September 15 in Strasbourg, Ursula von der Leyen announced that she would visit the countries of the Western Balkans and said that she wanted to send a strong signal of the European Union’s commitment to the bloc’s accession process.
