There are no State Bodies of Republika Srpska

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of BiH, Elmedin Konaković, kindly conveyed a message to Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić, politely cautioning him about the absence of state bodies in Republika Srpska.

Konaković, through social networks, emphasized that the RS is an entity within the sovereign state of Bosnia and Herzegovina. He suggests that every visit made to that part of our homeland should be acknowledged as a visit to the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina. As the president of Serbia, who has repeatedly expressed respect for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Bosnia and Herzegovina, it is important to use accurate terminology in public addresses, according to Konaković. We also had a discussion about the important upcoming meetings between the delegations of the Republic of Serbia and the Republika Srpska. During the meeting, I paid special attention to President Dodik’s remarks about the events in the RS and BiH. We agreed to organize a meeting of all state bodies from Serbia and the RS as soon as possible, on the territory of the Republika Srpska. This was stated by Vučić after today’s meeting with RS President Milorad Dodik. Konaković further commented that unintentional messages, such as the call for scholarships for female students who glorify war criminals or the announcement of a monument to Dražo Mihajlović by Vučić’s associates, hinder our progress towards regional stability and mutual respect. He emphasized that our extended hand is a symbol of strength and our commitment to promoting stability in our relations, rather than a sign of weakness. In conclusion, Konaković emphasized the importance of moving towards stabilizing relations and maintaining mutual respect.
