However, the political agreement and the famous compromise that the international community wholeheartedly calls for did not happen yet. Deadlines were set several times and then postponed.

But, their approach was perhaps best described by the representative of the Jewish community in BiH, Jabob Finci, who mentioned that foreigners would not be needed here if that political parties in BiH could agree on their own.
An agreement for the Presidency of BiH is imperative for Dragan Covic and HDZ. Bakir Izetbegovic told that he is ready to seek a compromise on this issue, provided that the House of Peoples of Federation of BiH (FBiH) is resolved in parallel to avoid blockades of government in FBiH.
To recall, the government in FBiH is still the same from 2015, considering that no agreement was ever reached for a new government, nor for filling the council in the Constitutional Court of FBiH. The key is with FBiH President Marinko Cavara (HDZ).
On the 25th anniversary of the Dayton Agreement, German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas said that there is no place in the EU for those who deny war crimes or glorify war criminals. And that is unambiguous, but for some, denying the genocide in BiH is a matter of compromise and an attempt of dialogue.
Ultimately, BiH needs a solution in the long run, not a hasty solution for an international diplomat to win a point for successful mediation without any reference to what this country will look like in five or ten years.
